Monte Carlo or bust

By Algorithm Betting on May 30, 2011, 4:51 pm in Algorithm structure,
Premier League | comments(0)

- With inspiration from this weekend's Grand Prix I've run
another Monte Carlo simulation.

"Monte Carlo" is the name given to simulations which make
use of computer generated random numbers to identify the range of
possible outputs a model may generate in the `real world'. Each random
number generates an input from a user defined probability distribution
which is run through the user's model to produce a simulated outcome on
each iteration of the model. Run thousands of iterations and you
generate a probability distribution for the output of your model. See

Season 2010/1 - Performance review

By Algorithm Betting on May 26, 2011, 9:23 pm in Betting results,
Premier League | comments(0)

boys-cheering- With the season finished it's time to review the
performance for 2010/1.

It was a disappointing end to the season as we won just 3 of the 10
match bets on the final day. That gave us a loss for May but
fortunately the rest of the season was much better.

There were 380 Premier league matches in 2010/1 and we had winning bets
on 54.2% of them. The yield was 6.2% with a return of 182.8%. There
were 6 months with a positive return and 4 negative months. The average
monthly return was 13.0% with a maximum of 46.2% in March and a minimum
of -17.5% in May.

2010/1 - Key performance statistics:
Matches 380
Winning bets 54.2%
Yield 6.2%
Return 182.8%

Holloway's toughest test

By Algorithm Betting on May 21, 2011, 9:25 am in Betting tips, Premier
League | comments(0)

Holloway Blackpool- The final week has arrived and the 2010/11
English Premier League season draws to a close. It's going to be a
great finish with only 1 of the 3 relegation teams confirmed so far.
The remaining 2 teams will be drawn from 5 possibles.

Wolves and Blackburn meet, both on 40 points and just above the
dropzone. However, they're not safe playing for a draw as should the
remaining teams win, both would fall. Should the lower teams be losing
at half time however you could see them playing out a draw, frustrating
but very likely.

Wigan, Blackpool and Birmingham, the other 3 teams facing relegation,
all play away. An early goal could set the cat amongst the pigeons and
previous season's finishes have shown we should expect the unexpected.

Man City v Stoke

By Algorithm Betting on May 17, 2011, 1:04 pm in Betting tips, Premier
League | comments(0)

Man City FA Cup- We lost overall at the weekend and fell back to
be up just 0.1% for the month. Clearly now the performance for the
month all rests on Sunday's games. However, before then there is the
small matter of a rematch.

Man City took their opportunity to end the season on a high by winning
the FA Cup against Stoke 1-0. And by the law of coincidences we have a
rematch just 3 days later. Man City may be able to play free flowing
football without any pressure now their season is secure. They also
haven't lost at home in their last 5 matches. Stoke may want revenge
but haven't won away from home in their last 5 matches.

It's not cheap, is it!

By Algorithm Betting on May 14, 2011, 1:11 pm in Betting tips, Premier
League | comments(0)

David Sullivan- The cost to West Ham's owners of relegation has
been estimated as some £40m by David Sullivan. That injection of cash
to keep the club afloat is unlikely to be repaid. The situation will
only deteriorate should they be relegated as the class players are sold
to fend off creditors.

West Ham face Wigan this Sunday, a team who are also in the relegation
zone. However with 3 straight away losses in a row, the Hammers will
still need a good performance and a fair dose of luck to get the 3
points they surely need to escape Championship football next season.
With the debts piling up, they may see themselves as fortunate to be
playing any football at all.

Man Utd could be champions

By Algorithm Betting on May 13, 2011, 7:45 pm in Betting tips, Premier
League | comments(0)

man utd team- The title could be decided if Man Utd take just 1
point from Blackburn. With Blackburn at odds of 5.9 at Betfair for the
win it looks likely the title will be all over with 1 game to go.

More interesting is the bottom of the league. Blackpool have a home
game versus Bolton and stand a fair chance of dropping either Wolves or
Birmingham into the relegation zone. It's an excellent opportunity at
least as Bolton are mid-table and have little to play for.

Man City v Tottenham

By Algorithm Betting on May 10, 2011, 12:01 am in Betting tips, Premier
League | comments(0)

Gomes Spurs- We won on the Fulham v Liverpool game to leave us
2.8% below our fund high. If we get today's match right we'll hit a new
high with just 20 matches left.

Today's game is Man City v Tottenham. Spurs have lost their way in
recent weeks, as has Gomes, and they've lost Gareth Bale to injury for
the rest of the season. Whilst Spurs can still finish 4th, Man City are
looking good for Champions League football if they win and they haven't
lost in their last 6 home matches.

Fulham v Liverpool

By Algorithm Betting on May 9, 2011, 6:14 pm in Betting tips, Premier
League | comments(0)

Dirk Kuyt- We won 2 of the 3 Sunday games including the Man Utd
v Chelsea match. That went some way to recovering losses on Saturday.

Just one match today in the Barclays Premier League today, Fulham v
Liverpool. Fulham have little to play for in mid-table whereas
Liverpool still have an outside chance of a Champion's League place.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of http://bing.com, http://yahoo.com or http://google.com.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
